Reading Rewards

You should be reading for at least 20 minutes every night as part of your homework. To encourage you to keep this up and to read more I have a new reward incentive.
Every time you show me your communication book with a date and signature to say you have read, you will get a tick on the chart. Every tick will be worth 50c (play money). Once you have earned $10 (20 signatures) you can start to spend your money in the classroom.
You will be able to buy: time on the computer, a chance to sit with your best friend, be able to teach a lesson, choose some free time activities.....and other rewards to be agreed with all of you.
So get reading and remember to show me your communication book each day. Miss Edwards

Children being place value and numbers

We were looking at place value and what the numbers meant. So the children became the numbers and the place value positions. We looked at how many 10's and 100's were in the numbers, what was 10 more, 10 less, 1 more, 1 less and even 100 more and 100 less. Why not test your children on this knowledge at home?

Maths lesson with Laura W and Waima

Today we were looking at number knowledge and we worked on 10 more, 10 less, 100 more on numbers and their spellings. Laura and Waima put the answers up on the whiteboard so we could mark our work.
